We're short one GVC power supply. The technical committee recommends that we consider switching very soon from our current 7E1 settings to the much more common 8N1. I've added a note to the motd [login screen] to announce the changeover in modem settings. The projects I mentioned in the technical committee report were that I've put a "wrapper" around xmodem/ymodem/zmodem/kermit that checks to see if you are on a dial-in or a telnet connection. If you're not on a dial-in, the wrapper displays a message to ask you to use ftp instead. If you are on a dial-in, the wrapper runs the program you asked for. Also, I'm in the process of writing a "change terminal" option for the "Change" program. This will let you change your terminal type, and the number of rows and columns on your screen. It's still under construction, but should be ready within a few weeks.
